Ian Thompson is an English Singer/Songwriter/Musician. He is originally from Liverpool, but has now settled into the Isle of Man with his wife Deborah. If you ever visit the Isle of Man, you can see one of his live shows, as he plays most weekends around the islands public bars, venues and private functions. He has enjoyed regular airplay over the years, on stations like BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Lancashire, Manx Radio, 3FM, and Energy FM, and international airplay, places like the USA, Australia, Italy, Holland, etc, and has also appeared on Liverpool TV /channel “Made in Liverpool”. He has been generously supported by the Manx Art’s Council on the last two of his “Spectra Music Group” release’s, a Single called “Inspiration” released on May 19th 2017, and an album called “New World” released October 6th 2017, which both did well on worldwide sales and radio airplay, and he has recently been fully funded again to record more original songs for 2018. Ian also released a new single called “Gameboy” on May 25th 2018, which is now available on iTunes , Amazon , Spotify and Bandcamp. Ian Thompson and the band, recently supported British chart toppers “Scouting for Girls” on May 30th, 2018. Ian has released his second album “Mean Time” on the “Spectra Music Group” label, on September 28th 2018. He released a single on 29/11/18 called “Nothing is better” which he has recorded with soul singer David Castro, Saxophonist Sammy J and producer Simon Harvey. Ian has worked with three excellent different producers here in the Isle of man – Simon Harvey , Phil Reynolds, and Gyp Buggane. Ian also plays live shows with his band “The Ian Thompson Band” and he has been signed to a music licensing deal with Spectra Music Group since March 2017.
